There is nothing we love more than seeing a client improve an internal function to increase productivity, especially when they’re already hitting all their business goals.

We’ve been working with Western College to automate internal administration by implementing an integration between their Adobe Business Catalyst course booking system and VETtrak training management software.

In a nutshell, this feature will reduce the doubling up of data entry of Western College students into their training management tool.
This is the third training organisation Big Blue Digital has worked with on an integration feature of this kind.

Previously, once a student had registered for one of the extensive list of courses offered by Western College, their Unique Student Identifier (USI) and student details would be manually collected from the course booking system and then be entered into the Western College VETtrak database. This was a huge cost to the organisation, and allowed a lot of room for human error.

Now, this data is automatically moved to where it should be once the student has registered,  reducing costs and other administration mishaps.

Luckily, these kinds of activities are becoming more and more common, making it simpler and more achievable for businesses to drive efficiencies. Most cloud based software now allows for extensive integration options where one software system can talk seamlessly to another via secure and encrypted protocols.

In the past, integration between two systems would need to occur internally to a business, and was cumbersome and came at a large cost. One of the real benefits of cloud-based systems has been making these integrations easier to achieve.
